Favorite protein shakes
It's going to depend entirely on how much liquid and protein powder you start with. Plus everyone's tastes are different. I was doing these during the first 9 weeks mostly when I was relying on shakes for most of my protein. I'd say for 8 oz skim milk and 2 scoops of protein powder, I used about 1 tbsp of cocoa, same of PB2 mixed with a little water. For the liquid flavoring, some were stronger than others, so it was trial and error. I suggest starting with 1/4 tsp and then adding more to taste.
Early back in the weight loss phase, I had great results with Premier Protein ready-to-drink chocolate. As I became tired of them, used vanilla and would doctor it up with sugar-free jello pudding or other mixins that were weight loss phase friendly. Eventually, I got reaaaallly sick of them, but that took years. Started to use Click espresso protein powder (decaf) and turn it into a frappucino using unsweetened almond milk- my absolute favorite way bar none, but only in the warmer months. I also really like the high protein hot chocolate to help mix things up. Chocolate powder works awesome as a coffee cream substitute with the benefit of getting the protein in first thing. Most any brand will work for that purpose.

Thank you! I'm finding most people enjoy their coffee. I'm one of those odd ducks *****ally isn't a fan lol. I've cut caffeine out of my diet the last several months and to make matters more difficult I'm not a big chocolate fan. I'm starting to think that the unflavored in some hot tea might be my way to go.
Sadly even "unflavored" does have a flavor. It's sort of like.. powdered skim milk? If you like tea, you might consider the Syntrax Ice Tea flavor!

I started out with whatever was cheap at walmart but still had enough protein and low enough calories. But I wanted to try more flavors than just chocolate ... and after buying 2 tubs of stuff I didn't like and then the one I did like having its formula changed to something chalky I ventured on over to the vitamin shoppe. They had sample sizes! So I bought up a bunch to try and I ended up loving one from body tech in the flavor chocolate mint. While it does cost a little bit more it has fewer calories and tastes better too.
In fact I just checked you can order sample sizes online (drop down menu to find other flavors and sizes)

I like Syntrax Nectar and Unjury. I use the syntrax nectar mainly for working out and the unjury for breakfast. You can get "samples" from Syntrax that are the single serving size, its the best price you will find but you have to call them. I like the taste of the Unjury the best and use the Chocolate Splendor the most but I do have the Strawberry (prefer Syntrax Nectar's Strawberry) and the Chicken Soup.
