Just about 5 months out - hit my initial weight goal!
Very excited to cross two major milestones this week. July 1 will be 5 months from my VSG. This week, I dropped below my lowest adult weight of 202 (that was 20 years ago), and I also hit the weight that I could never see agai*****s I see so many people post on here, it's an amazing feeling to see the scale read a number under 200 lbs.
I never thought it would happen this quickly. My pre-surgery weight about 284, so I'm down 85 lbs in less than 5 months. Having hit my initial goal of 199, I'm recalculating the goal to hit a BMI of 25 (which will be 184 for me). When I hit that (I'm confident I will), I'll reassess again.
Congratulations! What an awesome feeling. I think I cried when I hit 199.

That's fantastic!
For what it's worth, think about aiming for the middle of the BMI range. The likelihood of gaining some weight by year 2 is pretty large, and aiming for 22.5 will help keep you under 25.
Keep up the good work.
