Good morning all! An overcast, cool, windy morning in northwestern MI today.
We're heading out for Mexican food tonight for a birthday. I'm thinking fajitas without tortillas would be a good choice? What do/would you order if you go out for Mexican food?
B - coffee and yogurt
L - chicken and salsa
D - fajitas?
S - protein shake
Hi Cecily! I was just at a Mexican place Friday night and went with fajitas minus the tortilla and a side of beans. Definitely was plenty to bring home!
Its gonna be kind of mild today here so I'm thinking of doing a chicken chili in the crock pot for this week.
B: protein oatmeal, coffee
L: deli meat and cream cheese
D: chicken chili
S: protein bar
E: walking

Good morning! A beautiful day. Sunny, low humidity. Perfect day for a BBQ with friends and walking with the boys.
That sounds like a great choice,Cecily. I haven't gone out for Mexican since surgery. Have fun!
B: Protein Shake with all the fixings
L: B.S. with a dollop of Greek Yogurt and hot sauce
D: Pork Ass
E: Swimming and sliding!
S: string cheese/dill pickle
I always order shrimp fajitas. At our local place that gives me two meals of shrimp and much more than that of veggies. I just leave out the tortilla, use a bit of sour cream and I normally eat the Guac!
Still not feeling the greatest after surgery on Friday. I have a bit of an elevated temp (not enough to be concerned, 99's) and I'm achy. Plus I have no appetite. So, what I have planned for meals may not come to pass but we'll see.
B: Dannon L&F w/ PB2
L: Greek Yogurt Chicken Taco Dip (making this for book club!)
D: Pulled pork, 1 TBSP BBQ sauce
S: 1/2 Premier Protein and some berries

What surgery did you have? (You've probably mentioned and I just don't remember.) I'm sorry you're not feeling the greatest. For me I always sleep so crummy after surgery and that makes everything else in life suck.
Make sure you keep your protein up - so choke down a protein shake even if you have no appetite.
What's your book club? I have a cookbook club that meets 4 times a year. We pick a cookbook and everyone brings a dish from it to share. It's super fun!

I had a uterine ablation and D&C to deal with very heavy menstrual bleeding. I've struggled with it my whole life and had hoped that weight loss would help, but it didn't. The procedure itself is minor but does require full general anesthesia. I haven't had any/very little pain associated with the procedure but I feel like a bu**** me. I felt this way after my VSG too, so I think anesthesia is probably not so wonderful for me. I feel spacey and tired. I'm supposed to start reading for class but it's not gone great! I'm also sleeping like crap (for no reason since...no pain), and that's not helping.
I did get in 1/2 a premier protein in decaf coffee this morning. I will drink shakes for meals if need be. Everything tastes funny!
Our book club is pretty basic, we meet every 6 weeks and go in a rotation to who picks the book and therefore hosts. The book I picked was Yellow Crocus by Laila Ibrahim. Super great book.

Some people definitely get hit harder than others by anesthesia! Worth mentioning to the anesthesiologist next time it comes up. I really hope the ablation helps. I always wanted one due to horrible menstruation, but then I continuously cycled BCP so it wasn't an issue (but I can't do that anymore) and, thankfully, post-weight loss my periods have been better.
Having a real book club has always sounded so awesome to me but for some reason I've never been in a situation where it would work out. Or I'd have to start it myself which is unappealing. :P And at this point in my life there's NO TIME. I'd need a short story club ;) I hope your meeting is great.
