VSG last Tuesday feeling sick after walk or excessive... any ideas why.. help
I had surgery last week got home Thursday, have only been walking short distances and after walking I just feel a bit nauseous. I have to sit and relax also feel a lot of discomfort around surgical area feel bloated. Yesterday I went for short walk then went to gym at our park used Bowflex as shoulders and arms feel weak from inactivity in last week and half didn't do any heavy workout but some butterfly's and pulls for 10 minutes then rode stationary bike for 5-10 minutes walked short distance back to trailer and began sweating hard generating a lot of saliva which I had to spit out thought I was going to be sick. Today walked dogs a kilometer same thing happened when we got back, then this afternoon took garbage and recycle down street to bins and when I got half way back had to stop I thought I was going to throw up.
Anyone experienced this.

You're a week post op. You should only be walking at this point. No bowflexing, no weights, just walking. To me, this sounds like a combination of overexerction and dehydration. Walk a lot, rest, and make sure you're getting at least 64 ounces of fluid in.

What Gwen and Happyteacher said. No weights, no lifting, no ab or core work. Walking only.
Drink more. Most often, nausea is dehydration, and that will show up after exertion.

Thanks Grim I'm on full fluid stage drinking 64 oz water plus my liquid meals and snacks which adds 5 -1/2 cups (18 oz) obviously not enough I've never been nauseous before surgery never been a real big water drinker but lots of other liquids in place. I'll obviously have to up water.
