did any of you take a day or two off before your surgery? I'm def not working the day before but can't decide about the day before that.

Its Thursday here in Australia and Im at work. Will work tommorrow and then my surgery is on Monday so I am lucky to have the weekend to get things sorted at home.

I personally think I will feel calmer going into on Monday at 7am as I will have had a weekend at home pottering

I personally didn't. But I left work early the day before my surgery to get my things together. I knew I would use my off days for the recovery process.

How long where you out of work?

Everyone is different of course, but I took off only 3 days from work (plus Saturday and Sunday, which made it 5 days for recovery) and went to work on the 6th day. I only have 20 days of vacation from work and plans to go on a real vacation later, so I didn't want to use too many days off.

I took off only the day before. My surgery was early in the morning the following day. Working helped me to not think about it.

I went back to work after 6 days but I work from home so my schedule is more flexible than some. If I was in an office, I would have taken 2 weeks after. Mainly because I was still so fatigued.
