Going to try making cloud bread today for something different. We'll see how it turns out! Yesterday was a beautiful hike and beautiful day in general. Today we're supposed to get some big storms, which I hope is the case because this humidity needs to break!

A friend of mine that makes it says if you add 1 packet of sweetener (I'm going to use Splenda) it helps with that. I'll let you know how it goes!

The cloud bread turned out great! I actually opted not to sweeten it and instead added minced garlic. It's savory and worked great for a "sandwich" for lunch! When it comes out the oven it's crispy like meringue but it quickly absorbed some moisture and got chewy. We'll see how it is tomorrow!

I figured I could add it before maintenance because it's only 40 calories per "slice". My normal lunch is Turkey, laughing cow and cheese. I eliminated the cheese (80 calories) and added the cloud bread and came up with fewer calories than normal. A bit less protein than normal (for lunch), but I way overshoot my goal daily anyway (goal is 60-80 and I get 85-90g most days, with 700 calories). I still ended up with 89g of protein and 690 calories.

This tasted good, but it wasn't anything like bread in my opinion. It's a nice turkey-delivery-device, but it would not trigger any carb cravings for me!
