I tried to respond to your post, but there's some technical error.

Here's I tried to say:

Moving your bowels depends on your pre- and post-surgical diet, hydration, and pain meds. You should check in with the surgeon to see what they think.

For gas, don't underestimate the power of walking. I didn't think it would help much, but I got some fantastic relief. Walk with someone who won't mind being serenaded with flatulence. :)

OMG I thought it was just me! I tried as well! My attempted response:

Yes, this is normal. Are you taking a PPI daily like Prilosec OTC? If not, you probably should get one. There is a lot of gas and acid in the beginning. I still take Prilosec every day.
