Did you experience loose skin? If so what kind of advice or tips are there?

Are there any foods that I can't eat because of the surgery?

What happens if I overeat?

Thank you !

Loose skin, if you have It nothing is going to help you except surgery. Anything else is snake oil. The best thing to do is lose as much weight as possible.

Long term you can basically eat anything, even though you shouldn't eat just anything. Short term you need to follow you post-op plan.

Long term when you over eat it is just painful. Like someone standing on your chest. Short term, you could too your staple line.

Hi Kelly

Loose skin depends on many factors. Your age, the amount of weight you have to lose just to name a few. I suggest to members to take on one challenge at a time and lose the weight, get to goal and then you can deal with any skin issues you may have.

You don't mention what surgery you are thinking of getting. Depending on the surgeon and what procedure you are having depends on what you eat when. Here are a couple of links for information on both concerning eating after surgery.

What happens if you overeat? Nothing good I tell members that they need to "get it right between the ears before re-arranging their plumbing". Some don't want to hear it, but trust me. I am 13 years out and been on these boards for over 10 years. The common factor between long term success or not is dealing with the reason why we eat, turn to food and other issues before surgery.

If you need help with anything let me know

These questions have been asked and answered over the past couple of months, several times, by profiles with no pictures, that were created on the same day...the search function is a great tool.
