Protein, protein, protein
I would make 90g protein shakes in 32 ounces of liquid in a water bottle (I used Syntrax tea) and just would sip sip sip all morning. That seemed to work really well for me, as I was on liquids a bit longer than purees.
I did a lot of cottage cheese with protein powder mixed in, and greek yogurt with extra protein mixed in.
I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!
It is not that we have so little time but that we lose so much...the life we receive is not short but we make it so; we are not ill provided but use what we have wastefully. -- Seneca, On the Shortness of Life
I have protein with every meal and get 90+ grams a day - cottage cheese for breakfast, jerky or protein shakes for snacks, chicken or tofu for lunch and dinner.
I could eat more vegetables, but I'm definitely more interested in protein right now. I tried fruits for a while, but they aren't filling and simply have too many calories for the effort.
And other carbs are useless... as my dietician said yesterday at my 6 month checkup: " when you want to stop losing weight, add carbs." So... carbs can kiss my shiny metal butt for the time being.

my protein of choice after my one month appt, was minced tuna sashimi. I also mixed whey isolate protein powder with Greek Yogurt and ate that daily for breakfast.

I get in 120g with real food, and I've been doing so since I was about six months out. It's all in eating strategically, always working for the biggest bang for the protein buck. Get to know your food values.

70 g protein is pretty typical recommendation. I did it and it wasn't always easy. I had to use protein shakes even though I didn't like them. But you really have to do it. Keep them icy cold and even if you can only drink a couple of ounces at a time, do it. A late night protein hot coco isn't bad and there are soups that are protein too. GL. I am right with you! My surgeon is big on "NOT DRINKING YOUR PROTIEN" he thinks that after a 6 months out we should be no longer drinking protein! I was reading his instructions and it mentions eating not drinking protein! but I think that i'll ask him why when I go back in I'm sure he has a sound reason....
