Protein, protein, protein
Weird. I've never seen a post-op plan that has volume restrictions on liquids.

Yeah because if I could even have 8 oz of a shake it would be so much better getting to the protein goal. I'm here at dr now and I'm going to ask. Maybe it's only until I heal.
I looked up my instructions because I have been thinking about what you said. I dragged them out of the closet and scanned them...
Even though you are supposed to have 4 ounces at a time, you can have that 4 ounces multiple times a day.

To me, this says "you may only be able to eat 4oz at a time" which means, "your restriction might not allow you to drink more, so don't be surprised if you can only get in 4oz." Different than "don't drink more than 4oz at a time!"

Yeah, but I couldn't drink 4 ounces at that point anyway so it was a moot point anyhow. I mean I could drink a whole premier shake but it might take me an hour.
It was too easy at that point to drink too fast and be in pain.
At any rate, OP should be able to drink 4 ounces or how every many ounces she can tolerate at once of protein multiple times a day and get all her protein in.

Whereas I never had any restriction/discomfort with liquids, which was awesome. So I'd get 16 ounces of protein shake into my body within 30-60 minutes of waking up.
"OP should be able to drink 4 ounces or how every many ounces she can tolerate at once of protein multiple times a day and get all her protein in." --- I totally agree! Whether she has your restriction or mine, she should have no problem getting her protein in throughout the day.

It only took me a long time with cold stuff. Room temp and hot I could chug away. Sleeves can be so weird

I was doing 90 grams a day on day 3 post-op with 3 premier shakes a day.
Once I could have soft baked fish, I had fish 3 times a day and 1 shake, and that put me at 90 to 100 every day. Then I was able to only drink shakes a few times a week by month 3.
Now you couldn't pay me to drink a protein shake
