Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Thursday 6/1/17

I used to read 60+ books per year before I started my degree program. Now I still read a lot, but it's more like 25-30 books per year. I start my next class on July 3rd so I need to get in the reading I can before then!

The class I'm taking this summer is a 3 credit hour online course over only 5 weeks. They kill me, but since I get 12 free credit hours per year - I TAKE THEM ALL! Which means a summer course.

Ditto on the reading! I used to read 100+ books a year and see about 100 movies in the theater as well. Now I'm lucky if I hit 30. And that's with counting school books which feels like a bit of a cheat :P

I would use up all those free credits too :D I did two winter term classes during my AA - 12 class days for 3 credits. It wasn't too bad since I opted for PSY1010 one year and SOC1010 the next. I was initially thinking I would do Anatomy and Physiology 1 during a 6-week summer session and that would have been killer. I'm glad I changed my mind on that!

Going from 15-week courses to 8-week ones is going to be strange though. The idea is that you only take 2-3 at a time instead of 5, but still. That'll be weird. And the nice thing is that they don't have shorter summer/winter sessions because they just spread lots of 8-week ones out through the year.

One arm of our university does classes like that, but they do shorten the breaks!

I'm taking a Macroeconomics class this time around. I took Micro online in 2012 and it was killer. In fact that class was my first one I took, and it's the reason I have a 3.96 GPA instead of a 4.0! One of the things about taking all my classes at an engineering school is they are all so rigorous. I took SOC110 last summer and that was even pretty killer. I'm taking a POL class in the fall called Terror & Terrorism and I'm jazzed for that one. That will be a normal 15-week class.

I log everything I read (even school books, that do feel like a cheat) on Goodreads!

Omg. How is it June?! My mind can't handle June yet...

Increasing my protein to prepare for WLS revision at the end of the year. I see the surgeon the 1st week of August-ish to figure that all out. Also dealing with other random medical things before then that I've put off due to business/avoidance/tacos/etc.

Meal 1: Plain greek yogurt.

Meal 2: Protein shake.

Meal 3: hot dog/beef keto chili.

Meal 4: Undecided. Probably just some shredded chicken cooked in ghee.

I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!

Will you be revising to a mini-RNY?

The DS most likely, due to my BMI having been so high in the past (over 130 at one point).

I definitely have days like this.

I just realized I must be having one today because I actually forgot to weigh myself this morning. What's up with that? This is not a thing I "forget" to do.
