It's June! Already! Sadly, it's still not very warm here. I'm beginning to worry we'll have a short, cold summer and that might put me off my rocker.

I'm looking forward to this weekend. Jon is headed to VA for work and a friend asked to take my kids this weekend. I have no idea what I'm going to do with myself. Maybe read my book!

B: Dannon L&F w/ PB2 and Babybel

L: Grilled chicken w/ Ranch

D: TBD, it's just me and the kiddos so it might be a quick meal kind of night. So maybe eggs?

S: Premier Protein and maybe Jerky. I keep saying I'll have jerky and I'm yet to eat any.

E: 30-minute interval run on lunch break and back and tri's with my trainer.

Spectacular morning here in Michigan! I think I need to take it a bit easier today. Yesterday I had over 13,000 steps and planted 64 flowering plants while standing on a ladder and my right foot is angry with me. It's the outside-top-middle, so not plantar fasciitis which I am very familiar with.

B - coffee and yogurt

L - eggs

D - chicken? Need to go to the store.

S - protein shake

Where in Michigan are you? I apologize if I've asked already. I went to college (first time around) at Kalamazoo :D

Sorry about the foot - did you maybe bonk it on something? I'm always bonking myself and forgetting about it and then wondering why something hurts!

I'm here for about 4-5 months of the year in a tiny town called Onekama. It's on Lake Michigan About 3 hours north of Kalamazoo I think?

No foot bonking, I'm afraid, it's an overuse thing or inadequate shoe support I think. But I completely identify with the not knowing why something hurts. The older I get the fewer explanations I have for why I've been injured!

Sounds lovely :D My family had a reunion in Covert, MI a few years ago - Lake Michigan is awesome.

Inadequate shoe support is definitely a thing. I think we forget we need to get good shoes when we start moving more!

Hi Cecily,

I live in Grand Rapids. Love lake Michigan.

I haven't been to Grand Rapids, but I've heard it's pretty great. One day I'm going to get there to check out the Meijer Gardens and ArtPrize!

I'm just UGH. I went to NYC last weekend, which was awesome, but I should have been taking allergy meds the entire time. My allergies amount to "particles in the air" and polluted cities are an issue. On Tuesday I had a bit of a sore throat. Yesterday I woke up with sore ears which is the sign of a sinus infection for me. (I used to get them ALL THE TIME prior to allergy shots.) So I googled a bunch to find out what I could do with 5 days left until surgery and took my ass to urgent care to get a Z-Pak. Everything I read online says that stuff like this is only a problem if you have a fever or pneumonia or something - and I have none of those things. I have no cough either, which is good. I know I'll be 95% better tomorrow and 100% better on Sunday, but it sucks right now.

At least today is massage day!

1: protein shake
2: leftover spaghetti sauce w/ a little polenta
3: tacos al pastor (I forgot to get it marinating last night, so I did that this morning. It won't get to marinate quite as long as it should, but it'll still be tasty.)
4: yogurt (Need extra protein for plastics AND need the probiotics for the antibiotic I'm on now and the one I will be on post-op.)

liquid and vites: on track
exercise: nope

Reading is the BEST. When I finished my term a few weeks ago I had FIVE weeks total of vacation between my last AA term and my first BS term. My plan for the first three weeks was "READ ALL THE BOOKS," then surgery so I didn't know if my brain would be functional, so the plan for the last two weeks is "WATCH ALL THE TV SHOWS." I've got a backlog of both of these things due to school!

Thankfully my course load from June 19 to the end of the year is only 10 credits, and BS school does 8-week terms (eek?), so I should have more time to read in amongst those classes and surgeries.
