Thank you for the vegetarian responses

If someone hasn't been able to correct their behavior in 2 years knowing it is holding them back, I doubt they will, ever.

Ugh - seriously. This is not a "coffee addiction" this is an addiction to the crap she puts in the coffee.

Basically. Coffee addicts will drink black coffee because they actually love coffee. Most people don't love coffee, they love sugar and cream.
She went vegetarian which isn't really conducive for limiting calories and carbs. You have to be super disciplined to pull it off.

That's not going to get you anywhere, and I've got the math to prove it.
Powdered Coffee-Mate creamer is 20 calories per 1 tablespoon.
Half-and-half is ALSO 20 calories per 1 tablespoon.
You're literally substituting 300 calories of creamer for 300 calories of half-and-half.

If you are still using powdered creamer -- you are basically adding corn syrup to your coffee.

When I drink coffee, I use 3 oz of Premier Protein Vanilla Shake instead of cream. Others use the chocolate flavor. Give it a whirl and see if you can use it as a substitute for your cream.
I don't think you're as much a coffee addict as a coffee creamer addict. There are many ways to have coffee (even a ton of it) without drinking an additional 300+ calories a day. Try fairlife milk. It's lower in sugar and higher in protein. You like the sweetness the creamers offer? Try sugar free syrups. If you're not willing, or physically able to give up the coffee and you're not willing to drink it black, you need to find an alternative to make it work for you and your plan.
You might try getting a "frother" for your coffee. You can use skim milk and it whips it into froth like a cappuccino. Then put that in your coffee instead of higher calorie creamer. It tastes rich and works fine with skim milk.
Fyi, 3 weeks after surgery I had coffee with half and half the whole time until goal and to this day. I counted it and just could not give it up. Diane S
