My relationship with food has changed in really tangible ways!

I realized that I can have chocolate brownie quest bars in the house and not think about them constantly or eat them compulsively. Before surgery when I was on a low carb diet, I could not have quest bars anywhere near me without eating them immediately.

Last week I went out and bought my favorite chocolate bar to give to a friend who had done me a favor....then I actually gave it to her!!! I haven't been able to share chocolate without secretly binging on a personal stash since I was a normal weight 8 years ago, and even then it was a little hard.

I've also noticed that I can easily share food with my husband, whereas before I covetted every bite of food I liked and was resentful of sharing.

I think it's possible that this freedom from food is a temporary honeymoon stage perk, but I hope I can keep this mindset for a lifetime!
