I was going to share Dr. Butler's info with someone else that posted on this thread. Are you saying they will only take people in the area? What criteria did they say? Within so many miles?

This happened when we found a surgeon in San Antonio TX. He was taking patients from the entire state and got so overwhelmed they said only those that lived in San Antonio. It was so sad. And this happened within a couple of weeks starting to take Medicaid.

Let me know the criteria and I am so sorry for this happening to you.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope they didn't make you drive that far distance just to give you that horrible news. Try to keep faith hopefully something guaranteed will come through

Dr. Selim is not accepting new patients anymore. He canceled my appointment for next Monday and said that he is booked in the ER until February 2018.

This does not surprise me as I sent at least 30 members over to them. If it's an option get on their waiting list and it can be your plan B. I have spoke to others and this is where they are going/being referred to by Dr. Selim. I confirmed they do take medicaid. PM me and let me know if you get an appointment!

I should have updated that post. Yes, I found out Dr. Selim is referring his patients to Dr. Jackson to do the pre-op classes for the insurance requirements. If you have not called and got on the waiting list to have surgery with Dr. Selim, please do.

Try Dr Oconnell at Renew Bariatric in Covington. My friend got in with him last week. Worth a try... good luck
