Major craving pickles right now. 2 and a half weeks post OP. A small bite of dill relish won't kill me will it? How well do they digest?

If your plan doesn't call for solids yet, don't do it. Though if you are in the soft foods stage reli****hink would be okay. You could also drink some of the juice, w hich is what I did when I was still on liquids early out after operation. Now I get to enjoy a pickle when I want though. I like to get the sandwich slices and have one slice with a bit of deli meat sometimes.

It may be your body is needing salt.

Drink some pickle juice. Don't eat it. It might stick like a cork.

I agree, drink a little juice. Learn not to be ruled by cravings. Wait until you are approved for solids. There will be plenty of pickles in your future. take care. Diane S
