Happy Monday! Three weeks until plastic surgery for me!! I'm excited, nervous, and really happy that I'm busy between now and then. I've got a dermatologist appointment this morning, then a hair appointment so I'll look pretty for commencement, and then my last voice lesson until I'm all recovered from plastics which maybe won't be until 2018. Eek. It'll be a good day :)

Holy crap - my labs that my PCP ordered are viewable to me today and everything is PERFECT. So happy! My A1C dropped since last time, which is cool. My D also dropped just a little bit, but is still in the 50s. I think I'll add extra once a week or so.

1: protein shake
2: depends on where I am, I'll have a bar but I'm hopeful I'll be able to get a salad at Panera
3: steak salad - we grilled delmonico steaks for dinner last night specifically because I wanted to make this for tonight.

liquid and vites: on track
exercise: hopefully some yoga because that was really nice yesterday

How about you?

The girls and I went for pedicures and out to lunch at the diner yesterday. I decided I need to stop buying groceries and just eat there all the time. They had roast pork dinner on special, so I ordered that minus all the sides and without gravy. So they charged me for a side of pork...$1.95. It was enough for three meals!

I also noticed that we've made generally positive changes to our diet overall as a family. Both kids, without prompting, ordered cottage cheese as a side with their meal instead of fries.

Hi Gwen,

I am so happy you are getting your plastic surgery done. I think you'll be so happy with the results.

I haven't been posting because its so slow typing with one hand. The cast comes off next week. I've also been comfort eating - the broken arm is still causing me some discomfort. I've gained 12 pounds between the 5weeks in Spain, and the 5 weeks recovering from the broken arm. But I haven't lost my resolve, so I think I can turn it around soon.

Breakfast - salmon

lunch - chicken salad

dinner - pulled chicken and sweet potatoes

snack - humus and chips - this has been my downfall lately - comfort eating in the evening...

best wishes

Carol

Hi Everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend and if you are a mom, human or animal one, thank you for your love and hard work in taking care of all those kids! :) I had a rough day, as I always tend to miss Mom even more so on our family get togethers and holidays, but was glad to see I didn't sabotage myself too badly as I always did before. Even though I made her delicious mac n cheese recipe for my husband (one of his faves), I only had 2 tablespoons and sent the rest out as left overs. Yay, me! That's a big accomplishment in my world. :)

B: Chocolate Triple Zero yogurt, 1/2 oz roasted unsalted Planters peanuts

L: sautéed turkey, black beans and peppers

D: stuffed turkey red pepper, no rice (1 half pepper filled) and 1/2 c. strawberry cottage cheese salad (sugar free cool whip, sugar free strawberry jello, sliced strawberries, 1% cottage cheese).

Water- working on it. I had a really good week last week getting it in, but the weekend stunk for me keeping on with it. WHy is that????

Vites: yep, thinking of adding biotin in as the hair is coming out a lot more the past 2 weeks than I have noticed prior.

Exercise - 45 minutes walking the halls at work at breaks, arm reps too.

Well, tonight is a fencing night (which usually burns more than 1,000 cal) so I may load some extra protein later, but the plan is

B: Protein shake ( 1 cup coconut milk, 1 cup mixed tropical frozen fruit, couple shots of sugarfee coconut syrup and scoop of protein powder) - (197 cal, 17 g protein) and COFFEE

Morning snack - Sargento Balanced Break (180 calories 7 grams protein)

Lunch - probably the egg salad I packed from home - about 2 hard boiled eggs and a bit of mayo

PM Snack - Oikos Triple Zero (don't remember what flavor is in the bag)

Dinner - no clue right now, because I have to be at fencing at 6:30 - may grab a protein bar before I go and then eat when I get home at 9:30.

Keep on losing!
