Mourning Cheese

I've been eating 1-2oz of Brie (my fav) per day....which is 70 calories and 4g protein per ounce when I get the mini Brie bites from trader joes and 110 calories with 4g protein per ounce when I get the regular trader joes Brie. I should really stick to the Brie bites and just one per day! I don't really like string cheese or cheese sticks.
I would probably keel over and die. I gave up all the delicious carbs. They will not take my cheese. I eat it at least two meals per day! Sadly, only in 1/2 or 1oz portions, but still!

Keeping my cheese portions small has been such a challenge. I just love cheese!
My plan considers cheese to be a Fat, not a Protein, and I thought that I would miss it terribly.
But 6 months in, I really don't miss it at all... it has too many calories, and on those rare occasions I actually have an ounce or so, it's really binding, and I'd rather poop easily than momentarily enjoy a salty slice of cheese.

O boy, do I love cheese. Now more than sweets. Had an incredible dip made with goat cheese and curry the other day. Awesome. I like all kinds (except velvet) and there are cheese factories in our area with outstanding stuff. Hard to resist but have to limit it to 2 oz per day. No doubt several milk cows went out of business due to my vsg. Diane S
