Mourning Cheese

Sure :) I don't usually post on the meal threads. Normally for breakfast I have a yoplait greek 100 yogurt. It has 11 or 12 carbs, 100 calories, and 15g of protein.
Today for lunch I had a premier protein shake, which has 30g of protein and 160 calories.
Jack Link's Original Beef Jerky 1oz for 80 calories and 12g of protein
Muenster cheese, 1 oz for 100 calories and 6 g of protein
Oscar Meyer Smoked turkey 2 oz for 50 calories and 9 g of protein
So that alone is 490 calories and 72 g of protein. You just have to play around with all you can eat. Sometimes you just have to fool around with it.
I guess it depends on the cheese but I get the ultra thin sargento slices, for my burgers they are only 40 calories.
I get it though, I had to accept peanut butter can never be a part of my life again.

I can't seem to do peanut butter at all. Even a little bit makes me feel full to the max, so I have avoided it as much as possible.
It is way too easy to snack on. It is too calorie dense, too high in carbs and too low in protein for the calorie count.
I buy powdered peanuts with no sugar but I decided recently to just go cold turkey

I only do cheese on a burger. If I have it by itself, I can eat too much. And a 1 ounce serving turns into 4.

I do cheese every day (I'm 3 years post op though). What I found works for me is forced portion control. Cheese sticks (they come in every variety: Cheddar, string cheese, jack, pepper jack, etc.), babybel, laughing cow (this may work for you because the texture is similar to brie). The fact that these come in individual portions helps me to not overeat. I grab a serving to include in my bag for the day, 1 stick, 2 laughing cow, etc. I'm less successful with sliced cheese or shredded. I absolutely must weigh it out or my brain will quadruple the serving size and convince myself it's all good.
Same as what I do. I have a babybel with breakfast and a Cabot .8oz cheese square with lunch pretty much every day. Otherwise, the only cheese I eat is 1/2oz shredded in eggs.

How much cheese have you been eating until now? What else are you eating in a day?
If you're eating nothing but dense lean protein, you can absolutely hit your protein goals and still have enough calories left over for a stick of string cheese.
