Abdominal pain

I am getting weird sharp pains in my abdomen. Just started tonight. They come and go, and I am wondering if this is what GERD feels like. Kind of through my chest to my back. I'm sure it's not my heart. The stomach is noisy as usual. This is day 5 after surgery. I am taking a ppi. I never had heartburn before, so don't know if this is what it is.

It's more likely that this is what your nerves reattaching during the healing process feels like - call your surgeon to be certain, though!

Gastric Esophageal reflux is like heartburn. the sharp pains are more than likely from the surgery itself and possibly a nerve issue (nerves can be nicked during surgery and can take a while to heal). I would like the last poster said and talk to your surgeon.
