Agree with the above posters... you'll be in no shape to do anything but the occasional walk. Your mind will be fuzzy and you'll want to sleep and nap.

This is coming from someone who had no complications and no pain (the nurses begged and pleaded for me to take the narcs...).

I was still in the hospital 2 days after surgery. As others already mentioned, you will still be focused on your recovery, keeping hydrated, and walking.

Oh hell no! I can't even imagine getting dressed for a week or two, from swelling to general fatigue (I am a cheap date to anestesia - in a fog for weeks).

If this is important to you, simply call your surgeon and ask to reschedule your date for when you return. They can do that.
