VSG 5/23/17
- This is my first official post. I've been lurking behind the scenes for a few months now being a sponge absorbing all kinds of information. I am scheduled to have my VSG on 5/23/17. I will start my surgeons 2 week prepping diet this coming Tuesday. I'm excited but also very nervous. I'm an RN by trade so I'm well aware of all the good and the bad that can happen. I suffer from spinal stenosis and bad knees and my physician feels by taking the extra weight off I will feel much better. My wife is very supportive and I know I can count on her to help me through. I also have 2 teenage daughters who are supportive but worried something may happen to me. I guess the purpose of my post is to say hi and I appreciate everyone sharing their expierences and look forward to sharing mine.
Congratulations!!!! And best of luck on your surgery. It's great when you have the support of your family. I had my surgery last Monday and the first week was rough to the point where I had regrets. But as the days passed it got better, I have read a lot on here about people having regrets within the first days. I wish you all the best and keep us all updated on your journey:)
