I feel so alone. I wonder if I am the only one who continues to overeat or under exercise. I feel stuck.

You are not alone. Many people do the same. The surgery is the easy part. Learning to live differently is hard.

You are definitely not alone. It looks like you're brand new to OH - stick around for a while, you'll see that there are people here at all stages who are experiences all manners of challenges.

Are you able to see a therapist? Or participate in a local support group?

Thank you! I joined for the support that I don't feel I'm getting in my area. Our support groups are not really set up due to small location they don't work well with schedules and its more rare for this surgery than one would think in my location. I do have a very supportive family and friend group, I just feel like I have more bad days than good this last 1-2 years

I highly recommend finding a therapist, since it sounds like you don't have one.

You're not alone. We all have ups and downs. Are you seeing someone to help you with the emotional part of over eating? The surgery doesn't fix your brain.

I had been getting help but it wasn't meeting my needs and stopped. Its more of a locational thing due to my area and surgery. I joined here to get more support than my family and friends I have. Maybe to see there is hope again

not at all; I was way overeating and I never have time to exercise

Just had gall bladder surgery - took the opportunity to restart.

Working on food and drink right now.

Getting in more water, getting in more protein, cut sugars out - completely.

Doing low carb (less than 20). Not easy.

Bought groceries today - made sure to leave bad stuff on the shelves.

You can do this. Just start checking here every day. Post what you are eating each day.

Use "my fitness pal" and enter foods - keep protein, carb, fat count.

So I guess with my overeating I feel like I have lost all hope for this to return to being a tool for me. May I ask if you are seeing results? I guess I worry I'll continue to fail but know I have to put the effort into trying to even fail, right...I'm yo-yoing
