Rant: Breastfeeding is so dehydrating!
Just wanted to say what a great mom you are to continue nursing with all you are going through yourself, healing and getting used to the new sleeve life. My kids are older, but I remember so well how thirsty I would get nursing. It will be worth it to keep on pushing yourself to get your fluids in because you are doing a great thing for your baby.
I came across your post while googling VSG and breastfeeding. My son will be approx 11months when I am considering having a vsg. I am shocked by the negativity you encountered below. Thanks for sharing your experience and well done on continuing to bf and the graceful way you responded to those comments. Are you still nursing? Did you have any further issues? Any tips you'd like to share? I currently tandem feed my 3 year old and now 6 month old but will wean my 3 year old if I have surgery. And even if I don't haha!
