You definitely don't need applesauce. It's just sugar/carbs.

I'd add Miralax, unsweetened almond milk, and some sample packets of protein powders. Plus a Blender Bottle.

Will you be able to eat yogurt and cottage cheese immediately post-op? I wasn't able to have them until 2 weeks out.

I forgot to add it to the list. Yes, I got mirolax and protein powders.

Both yogurt and cottage cheese are on my program.

Seems to me like you're pretty much set then!

You could also make sure you have a variety of tea bags - some people find hot tea is easier to drink than cold water. And I second the suggestion of things like Crystal Light/Mio.

I agree about the applesauce, you're much better off with something without so many carbs.

Do you have any protein powder? I'd suggest picking up a few different kinds, and maybe some ready-to-drink shakes. You can mix the powder into yogurt or SF pudding to help up your protein intake.

It's also helpful to have some different calorie-free drinks around. Different flavors of Crystal Light, Mio, that sort of thing.

I also ate a lot of sugar-free jello post-op.

Also - drugs. But you'll probably get those once you're at the hospital or immediately before. Painkiller, zofran, I was grateful for chloraseptic as well. Vitamins, actigall if your surgeon recommends it, and a PPI.

Vitamins, crystal light, and lots of water... already stocked up on these, too!

I made a batch of pudding. Unjury unflavored protein powder ( 1 scoop) with 2 cups Fairlife skim milk and sugar free, fat free chocolate pudding. It went down easy and I got in some protein (20 plus milk).

I also had crystal light on hand in case I wanted to flavor up my water.

That's about it. Your list looks great.

I wish you an uneventful surgery and a great recovery. You've got this!

I'd add some sugar free jello & pudding mixes. In addition to making jello & pudding, you can use them, along with an unflavored protein powder, to make your own protein popsicles (use greek yogurt) & protein shakes. GOOD LUCK!
