Freezer Eating Challenge
We are so guilty of this here. I honestly think I could go two months and still not get through it all (assuming it is just hubby and I eating). About 2 weeks ago I said I was not going to buy any more meat fresh. Although I am failing at always using the freezer, I am using it a lot more. I will count that as an improvement, but still a work in progress.

You need a good earthquake, or other power outage excuse. When the Northridge quake hit us back in '94(?), my wife had just done a Costco run and loaded up the freezer with meat. We had lots of BBQ that week with the neighbors - use it or lose it.
Funny thing, when she was at Costco, she was looking at the generators thinking that we really should...nah!

LOL! Clearly there are many if us with this issue: I have always had a lot of fresh meat frozen, but since WLS and my IP purchase, now I have enough bagged individual servings for weeks! I need to do something too!

Found lamb in the freezer, pre-cooked, only four weeks old. Decided to try it. Verdict: oh god. Perhaps I need better freezing containers? I still ate it, likely because my culinary standards are low due to coming from New Jersey and having grown up eating pork roll.
I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!

Please, please, please don't tell my husband about this challenge. He would insist I participate. I have a freezer just like yours, but I really don't want to do this. I might have a panic attack if I look in the freezer and don't have enough food to last me a millennium. How am I going to feed my family a variety of foods if I don't restock? LOL Just kidding. I'm going to do my best to do this as well. Good idea. I need to clean out my freezer anyways to make room for all the veggies from my garden.
I should probably check our freezer. My husband does 95% of the shopping as he is retired.
I do know that while our freezer is always full, it is hard to tell by just a quick glance how much is food and how much is water. Be the water be bags of ice cubes, or plastic bottles of water that are our ice blocks for coolers. I do try to go through it once a year and have a purge party. Perhaps this is as good a week as any.

Than never to travel at all.
