That's a good point. I CAN eat falafel... I just feel crummy after I do.

Me too. I haven't had issues with any food yet (except for sausage, but I tried it when I was barely on solids and I can eat it fine now).

Cereal and milk make me very nauseous. Ice cream makes me feel clammy and nauseous.

I had a very difficult time with eggs for the first few months post-op. I was SO excited to transition to soft foods and try a scrambled egg, but man oh man did I regret it.

Luckily, I had no trouble with them when I tried again after about six months. Scrambled egg + shredded cheese + taco sauce is one of my favorite quick breakfasts!

Ditto someone else who said give it a month (or more) and try again. Some stuff that didn't sit well at 3 months out sits fine at 6 months out.

Mayo.. Never bothered me before, but now I cannot stand the way my tummy feels if I eat it. So I use plain Greek yogurt in its place for chicken/tuna/egg salad, pimento cheese..it's a great substitute.

I'm sensitive to sweet. Things taste overly sweet to me now and if I have too much sugar I feel ill.

The only thing I still have an issue with is milk - skim, almond, soy, doesn't matter. It sits in my tummy like a lump and is very disagreeable. I only used it in my protein shakes, so now when I have a shake (on days that getting my full protein is a struggle), I just mix the powder with water and lots of ice.

For me, it seems to change as time goes on. I am 2.5 years out and still maintaining my weight anywhere from 209 to 215 lbs. I still won't try bread again because it binds me up. Anything sugary is beyond disgusting! Lately, I have noticed that cheese is starting to give me lactose intolerance symptoms.
