Thinking about VSG...

What would be an example of a daily menu after having the surgery? Is there a difference between the menu at three months out, 6 months out, and a year? If so what would a typical daily menu consist of?

Check out the daily thread in this VSG forum that says "whatcha eating today?" You'll see several people's menus for the day.

By three months, you'll be able to eat "normal" foods, so things won't change beyond that point. You may be able to eat slightly more at six months or a year, since your sleeve has fully healed and matured, but you'll be eating the same types of foods.

There is a meal post here every day where people post what they're eating. I loved reading it pre-op since it helped me to understand how I'd be eating post-op :)

I try to post in the menu thread every day, but I can show you some menu examples for my day. I had VSG in December.

Breakfast: protein shake or if I have coffee I use premier protein shake as creamer and later may have a scrambled egg or 1/2 egg and some Canadian bacon

Lunch: tuna pouch, chicken salad, tuna salad or leftovers

Dinner: I cook a family meal..they get carbs and veggies or whatever they want and I focus on the protein...steak, fish, pork tenderloin, chicken, hamburger. I will sometimes have a bite of veggie.

My go to snacks are homemade jerky or deli meat and cheese roll ups.

Definitely check out the menu posts though because everyone's plans vary.
