BCBS University of Texas

I am in Colorado, but because my husband works with a company based in Maryland we are BCBS out of state and have a blue preferred plan. I qualify at bmi 35 with 1 comorbidity and 40 with no comorbidities. I also don't have to do the 6 month supervised diet and get this... NO COPAY. The hospital insurance gal first told me that it was going to be $3800. I had read the policy so I asked her to double check with a real person rather than just getting a fax reply. The next day she called me and said that I was right. NO Copay! Just the $100 for the nutrition consult and $20 for the psych consult. I could probably even question that.

I'm waiting now to hear back for the approval so I'll let you know if it is indeed true.
