Not eating
It seems like every week or so, I have a day where I just don't feel like eating. (I know, shock, I never thought I'd see the day either lol.)
It's not that I'm nauseous or anything like that...I'm just not hungry, either physically or mentally, and I feel like I just can't be bothered to force myself.
My question: Is it that awful if I just don't eat that day? It's probably only 1-3 days a month, but will it harm me if I keep doing it?
Most days I'm fine, and of course I have days where I want to eat constantly--I don't, but I want to (usually PMS days). My sister is worried that not eating is bad, but I figure it happens when you're sick and other times you may not be able to eat, so is it really that big of a deal?
So what do you think? And has anyone else had this issue?
P.S. I do continue to take all my vitamins and supplements, and drink 75-80 oz of liquids
I figure our stomachs are the size of a toddlers. My grandkids are 2 and 5 years old. Some days they eat, others they barely nibble. I think with our stomachs being so small, we are more sensitive to our bodies. I don't eat much on the the "small pouch" days. I do try to drink a protein shake and have one small meal. Other days, I worry that I have an eating disorder. I am happy when I have a small pouch day and I listen and don't eat. It is not healthy to not eat to lose weight, but if you don't feel like eating, don't push. A day here and there should be okay, and that is my unscientific opinion:)

Kids are a great comparison here. My nephew is 9 (or maybe 10, I can't remember). Someday he eats everything that comes in sight and other days he maybe eats a cheese stick :P

It's not awful. If you NEEDED to eat, your body would let you know. And, really, you've got lots of excess fuel reserves in the form of stored fat still, so it's not like your body is actually starving if you don't eat for a day. This will not harm you at all. Although you will want to be aware of your body doing anything to "make up for it" the following day.
It is great that you're keeping up with supplements and liquids, since the liquids are much more important than the food!
I guess I see this as a function of learning to listen to your body. If I only ever ate when I was hungry and when my body actually let me know it NEEDED food, I'd be significantly healthier than I am today.

Yesterday I didn't come close to getting my protein in (i'm only 3 weeks out) while most days its not a problem. I think every now and then a "fast" of food won't hurt us as long as we get our water in.
I feel the same way. Some days I just don't want to be bothered with eating, but I do make sure I get plenty of fluids and a shake or 2. It really is a strange thought process, to go from a place where all I could think about was what and when my next meal would be to, ehhh I don't really care if I eat today. I keep replaying an episode of My 600 lb life where the patient is grumbling to Dr. Now about needing to eat and the Dr tells him "no you don't, you have 800 lbs of food already on your body" lol I shouldn't laugh, but it makes me giggle because it's the truth.
