Welcome and congrats on your upcoming surgery! It took about 4-5 wks for approval. Mine was denied at first but was approved second time around. I didn't have to do any paperwork, it was all done by my bariatric center.

Thanks. Yes that's what I meant by "I" LOL... my bariatric center turned in all the paper work!!! I'm gonna call though and see if they received it yet.

When I called, I had to speak to the "Managed Care" dept. Hopefully your approval is as quick as mine was. In fact, I knew three days before my surgeon's office did.

Nope...lol not so lucky I called and she said it would take a "full 15 business days"...lol buuuuutttttt maybe she was just saying that so I wouldn't call everyday...and I wont...every other day is more practical....lol

The time to get approved all depends on your insurance. I have Harvard Pilgrim Health and it took about 2 weeks.

I had a really uneventful surgery and, because of all the people here, I knew what to expect and what to bring to the hospital. Just use the search engine for absolutely anything lol. I even looked up whether or not my shoe size would change smirk. The answer, for me, is yes. My 8.5 shoes are too big!

HEY!! That's kinda good there are a lot of cute shoes(and cloths) in smaller sizes!!! I have been googleing so much I need to buy stock!!! I've never had surgery so I'm just trying to have as much control as I can by being "prepared" ya know?!
