Whatcha eating today? Thursday, 4/6/2017
Memory lane is savage this week. A year ago today we made the decision to stop treating for cure and to switch to palliative/hospice care for my dad. I had always figured that would be a hard choice to make, turned out that when the time came it was really the only choice that could be made and that was completely clear.
Aside from memories, today should be a decent day. I'm going out to run soon and then it's class before I get to have lunch with a friend! I'm looking forward to that and I'm giving her a few awesome dresses that no longer fit me but that I think she'll rock. Then it's back to campus for more studying in the library and choir in the evening. Keeping busy is a boon for me these days.
And yesterday I managed to schedule with another psychiatrist who will, hopefully, be able to manage my Vyvanse.
1: protein shake
2: chicken strips - we're going to a new place in town that does fried chicken and waffles, chicken strips are my best option
3: protein bar OR leftover chicken piccata - depending on where/when I get hungry (I'll be eating lunch earlier than I normally do on Thursdays, so I predict I'll need to go with the bar option)
liquid and vites: on track
exercise: running (hopefully I'll beat the rain!), yoga stretching
How about you?

Fingers crossed this one turns out right Gwen!
Its already raining here this morning and will be off and on so no walking outside today. On top of that while stretching last night I felt a pop in my foot and it's been hurting ever since. Think I'll do the bike at the gym today and hope that won't irritate it.
B: 2 eggs scrambled with cheese, coffee
L: 4 ounces grilled chicken
D: 4 oz pulled pork
S: protein bar, pork rinds
W&V: on track
E: 30 mins on the bike and upper body workout
Thanks!
Sorry about the foot pop - is it feeling better now? Top or bottom of the foot?

I'm sorry about the memory lane with your father.
I had a rough week last week with my parents and my siblings giving me a horrible glimsp into the (hopefully distant) future. My mother wa**** by another skier on our vacation and had a horrible break in her leg. She had to have surgery nad all sorts of metal plates inserted. She did not handle the pain meds well and it took some heavy handedness from my and my sister to get her to stay for rehab -- my father and brother had no chance of convincing her. She is doing much better. But that stressful situation resulted in a horrible blow up between my sister and I. We haven't spoken in almost a week and I'm just terrified of how we will treat each other when the situation is worse.
She actually said in front of our small children that she was worried my mother would die (from a broken leg?!?) and then physically assualted me when I tried to do my parents laundry so they would have clean clothes at the rehab center. Stress affects people differently and my sister takes hers out on the people she loves most. Lucky me.
Well I had a fantastic therapy session on Monday. And since I am not in my eating disorder (yes - most of us probably have them), I'm feeling all the feelings. It sucks, but it is actually better than just avoiding it. My food as been ok -- I think that is actually a success given the situation.
Plan for today:
B - fit frappe & coffee
L - going out with a friend not sure where. Likely some meat & veg with a sprinkle of carbs.
S - yogurt parfait & protein shake
D - tilapia, asparagus, and a bit of leftover tempura / pot stickers
S - rice cake, cottage cheese & berries
E - crossfit & maybe lifting or yoga if I'm tired.
I am so sorry to read about what's going on with your mother and sister. That sounds really horrible. I hope that you're able to work through this and get to a better place with her. And, if not, that you're able to be in a good place yourself to weather whatever comes at you.

It's cold and wet today. I want to go home and curl up in bed with my Outlander book. Sadly, that's not an option.
It's strange because some of the clothes that were distinctly too small on me, and I couldn't wait to get back into, are now too big. I actually felt bummed about that this morning. The brain is weird. I mean, come on brain - we're losing! At this point I have tapped out my closet shopping I think, and will need to move on to thrift store finds.
