yes, it can be normal for some. At 7 years. Out, my hunger has never returned. I eat every 3 hours , by the clock, or I would starve.

It was nearly six months before I felt hunger again and 9 months before food started tasting good again. I actually had alarms to remind me to eat.

Yep. 7.5 months out, and I'll go several days forgetting to eat. Then I'll feel like I'm starving and have to eat constantly for a day or three, and then cycle back to forgetting to eat for several days. This is a fairly recent thing, for 5-6 months post-op I had to remind myself to eat and drink all the time. I'm trying to stabilize that by setting reminders to eat regularly so I don't get to the starving mode.
