Good luck Gwen, I hope it all works out and it is a smooth, easy transition!

I'm feeling a bit down in the dumps today. Like I was healthier before WLS. Did anyone else feel that way early on? If so, when did you start to feel consistently like WLS was a good idea?

B - protein shake and coffee

L - yogurt

D - maybe sashimi

6 months. Seriously. I had no complications, no issues. But I was cranky as hell for the first 6 months. Even the weight loss only made me happy for brief bursts of time. At some point, the switch clicked and everything was okay.

Thank you! That's how I'm feeling, plus a little depressed about all of it plus 2 kidney stones and new meds for that, surgery messing with my thyroid nodule and requiring more meds there, eating feeling not pleasant, drinking not feeling pleasant, yada yada yada. I can do 6 months...

You've got the blues....and rightly so. Everything combined is just miserable.

You'll be fine once these things are gone. Sending good thoughts your way....
