Friday yayday! Lots of stuff going on in my life and I'm totally tired of dealing with flaky college "kids." Argh. I've got fitness classes in the morning, helping my bff stuff bags later on, and then prep to see a psychiatrist tonight. That appointment is tomorrow so that I can transfer medication management from my PCP to the psychiatrist. I'm nervous.

1: protein shake

2: ham and cheese (need to get a different meat and cheese combo for next week)

3: Asian sloppy joes (Ming Tsai recipe)

liquid and bites: on track

exercise: Tai Chi class, Pilates class

How about you? Is it raining where you are?

  1. premier protein chocolate shake
  2. premier protein chocolate shake
  3. portable protein pack (subtract cashews and add 1oz cracker barrel sharp cheddar)

64 + oz water

I was in a stall for about a month, so I've severely clamped down on carb intake (I was eating too many sugar free popsicles @ 4 carbs each. I'm now well under 20 carbs a day for the past week. (I don't use that "net carbs" scam, either)

Exercise will be 40 minutes on treadmill @ 3mph, plus as many lunges (trying to do something about the "backbutt") and pushups as I can handle.

Oh, and the "dangerous storms" that were forecast for yesterday and early this morning passed by without incident :) Thankfully. I'm tired of dealing with flooding.

Hi Guys! Happy Weekend! I am ready for it. This week has been "trying", to say the least. One of my favorite co-workers secretly retired on Wednesday and I miss her. :( She has been a tremendous support and "cheerleader" as I prepped and am living this lifestyle change. I wish her the best! Going to see the musical "Beautiful" on Saturday with my sister. It's the story of songwriter/performer Carole King, so excited for that!

B: Dannon L & F vanilla yogurt with a couple of banana pieces stirred in

S: dry roasted peanuts

L: Tuscan white bean soup

D: I won't lie...we're going to the show so it's probably going to be popcorn and a string cheese

Don't sweat the eval, Gwen. If you've tried wellbutrin and all that other non-stimulant jazz for your BED prior to going to vyvanse, and it's documented, then you should be in the clear, if the provider is reasonable. NP or MD? Vyvanse is not frowned upon because it is not considered 'abuseable', and providers tend to be a little friendlier about using it, especially in the lower doses.

Yesterday was busy for me. It was my Friday. I made sure I had all my work done and the 'kids' fed and completed their outside duties, before I went to the gym. I got a good hour and a half and did my five miles. Today I do arms/upper body and am going in to do some good cardio before and after. Tonight it's 'Candle light Yin Yoga'. I've really missed Yin.

Yesterdays #'s: Calories-901, Fat-22.4g, Fiber-2g, Carbs-31.3g, Sodium-1666.1mg, Protein-137.3g, Water-66.6 fl oz. Daily Calorie Composition: 14% from carbs, 23% from fat and 63% from protein.

Todays Weigh In: 190.0

AM/B: SF Peppermint Latte w/ON white chocolate protein

L: Ribeye

D: ???

E: Elliptical, Arms, Treadmill, Yin Yoga

Water (gotta get this up) and Vites

Have a Great Day Everyone!!!!

Sadly there are no other medications approved for BED.

That is true, but I know of others who are being treated with Ritalin and Adderall as well. Granted, it may be considered 'off label', but it is effective for them. For people with medicaid, or self pay, it may be an option for a first and second step trial due to cost of vyvanse, which can be up to $400/month. Medicaid often won't approve it as a first shot. And, for obvious reasons, self payers more than likely can't afford it.
