I agree with both SGG and Gwen. Get your water in first, then worry about protein. Walk and then walk again. Lastly, don't worry about the scale when you get home - you have added weight from the IV fluids etc.
Can't wait to see you on the loser's bench! Keep us posted.

The little engine that could.....
The things I felt like no one told me:
- It's an emotional roller coaster, and I really mean that. Hormones mess with your head, it's like a giant case of PMS for the first couple weeks. IT WILL GET BETTER, I PROMISE.
- Things smell and taste bad, but they will go back to normal (mostly).
- Get your fluids in and the rest will come in time. Don't stress over protein or especially over calories. Just drink as much as you can. They'll ask you to track and you'll see you are getting 200 calories. It's ok.
- You might throw up. I know this seems obvious but they all assured me they give you lots of meds to prevent it. But I threw up pretty constant for the first 24 hours. Just know it will pass.
- It's so worth it, x1000.

Best of luck. I felt no pain. I was nauseas but they gave me meds to stop it. Chew your ice, sip your water, and walk as much as you can to get the anesthesia out of your system. Bring lip balm. It will be over before you know it and you'll do great.
