Oh boy that is big! We had discussed this but I always sleep on my side so we decided against it. I hear so many people say they are having he same great results as you are--I'm sticking with it and know it is to help me. Thank you for taking the time to reply!!

Find a place that will work with you finding a mask...fit is everything!!!

Also a little hint I make a "gasket" out of a leather shammy for cushion and it keeps mask from getting all oily!!

It took me a long time to get used to the CPAP but it changed my life for the better. I have so much more energy and I don't wake up feeling like a zombie! As I have lost weight it seems the pressure is too high so I need to contact my dr. I hope as I lose more weight I can stop using it. It will help you!

Great to hear - it makes me more hopeful and less frustrated. I took mine in after 2 nights and said it was way to much air, they adjusted it and it was better, it will be better for you too I bet! Congrats on the weight loss--keep it up!! Thanks!!

I'm a mouth breather, and wear a full-face mask. They tried a nose-only mask during the sleep study and realized it wasn't going to work.

It was really important to get the right fit on the mask. Also, they blew air through it during the fitting to make sure it made a good seal.

It DOES get better. I hated the machine for a solid month. I was able to set the "ramp" button to a gentle increase up to the prescribed pressure setting, which helped A LOT. Now? I'll carry that thing through the whole airport to make sure it won't get lost/broken in my luggage.

During the sleep study they didn't even put one on me because it was mild, however they did put oxygen on me in the middle of the night. Everyone has said it will get better and that it helps with energy etc. Good idea about carrying it in the airport, they are way too expensive to get broken! I do use the ramp up button and it does help. Everyone says about one month, I probably needed all of these positive posts to help me with mentally liking it! Thank you!!

You should be able to get a different mask. But, yes, it does get better.

Been using a CPAP for at least a dozen years or more.

I've gone on road trips.....made it two+ hours from home and realized I left it at home.....only to turn around and go back to get it.

It works for me. No more waking up with low oxygen headaches. Snoring is a thing of the past. Quiet and restful sleep.

It was weird getting used to it at first. Soon it became second nature and a non-issue.

Live, love and make the most out of what your surgeon has done for you...........live your life without excuses and without regrets.

I had to Fedex my partner's cable to him once since he forgot to pack it. CPAP is life.

You really do like that thing, I would not turn around at this point! It is getting a little better, but I do not feel any different, never had headaches or fatigued...just a little snoring per my husband. I do have to say the Dr. sold me on the healing faster and the brain being fed parts. I'll stick with it for a few months and who knows maybe I will like it like you do! Thanks!
