Hi have had 2 lap bands and both removed, the last one done in Nov. I am being sleeved on 3/31. Has anyone else had this similar with 2 bands? Just wondering if it will be extra painful or things I should know.

Wish I could help you. I can, however, say congrats on your surgery and I hope everything goes well.

I had one lap band for years, had it removed and had the sleeve in the same operation. Recovery was the same or easier this time around. Just make sure you have GasX strips around, and walk asap, follow surgeon's instructions... Etc.

If you're still MO after two lapband procedures, are you sure that you may not need more than the restriction of a sleeve? The DS, for example has the same sleeve stomach, but the malabsorption super-charges the effects. I just want to throw that out there to give it some serious thought before going for a third procedure.
