Normal side effect of surgery, or not?

I've been a little bit out of surgery now, and I seemed to have lost feeling in my torso. From my torso down to my upper thighs and that area all across me has no feeling. I don't even feel pressure when pressing on it. Has anyone else had this problem after surgery?
Thanks for the concern from everyone! I will be going through some tests with my primary to figure out what is going on.
I recommend calling your surgeon ASAP. I've never heard anyone mention this and, from my albeit limited studies, this sounds potentially very bad.

I just called the office. No one answered so I left a message. Hopefully they will call me back soon. If they don't I will try and get in touch with my regular doctor.
Honestly? I would recommend calling your PCP right now and, if that doesn't get a response, take yourself to your closest urgent care or emergency room.

I've had no feeling in a 6" radius around my largest incision since surgery. But, that's been since surgery and it also happened with my c-section so I was prepared for it this time.
If it's sudden it's certainly concerning!

I would absolutely call ASAP for the sake of due diligence to make sure it's not serious. So, call the surgeon immediately. If you get the answering service tell them what is going on. This is why they are paid, so definitely do not feel bad asking!
I don't have sensation in that area of my abdomen, however I also have had open abdominal surgery four times, and lap surgery once. That's to be expected though, and I still feel pressure and tension/pulling, especially after the fifth surgery (my WLS surgery). In my case, it was due to nerves being cut repeatedly, and damaged. There are several things which can cause this, and some are benign, but others not. Absolutely call.
I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!

If you can, please update and let us know if you heard from your doctor and what she said? Hoping everything is OK.
I have a basement but don't dwell in it full time.
I agree, please update us.

Thanks, I got in touch with my primary, since apparently contacting my surgeon outside of an appointment time seems impossible. I am going in for a series of tests and blood work Monday, so will know more then. Hoping it is just something easy to deal with!
