On my way

after years of considering VSG I am actively on the path. Just a few weeks before I should have everything done for insurance approval. Scared of making the change and regretting it. Scared of surgery. Scared of having no more excuses not to try. But I am doing it. I wish there was a genuine non surgical option which would work just as well...

i should be glad but I feel so much like stepping off the train. Not going to,do it. But maybe everyone feels that way.

Question, how long after surgery did you go back to work? I am thinking a week, but maybe a few days would be enough, like having surgery Wednesday and returning Monday? Kind of a lot happening at the office right now.

It depends on what you do for a living. If you do sedentary office work, a week would probably be right. Anything more strenuous you're going to probably need 2 weeks. The biggest issue with that after surgery is being weak and tired. It takes a lot out of you. Everyone has different experiences but this seems to be the general rule.

Best of luck, and I, for one, bless the day I had the surgery as the best thing I ever did. Look forward to you joining us here on the Loser's Bench!

I have a desk job - I took 2 weeks but could have been back in a week if I had to.
