Good morning all! I am 2.5 years out. I've taken off a total of 80 lbs and have another 80 to go. I began the pouch reset this morning as in the past six months I've put back on 40lbs (I originally lost 120). So today begins the journey to get this last 80lbs off this old frame!
I look forward to meeting all of you!

The best way to get back on track is to go back to eating dense protein (aka meat and more meat) and non-starchy veggies.
Skip fruit for a week or two and, if you add it back in, limit it to one very small serving ( likr 3 or 4 strawberries) daily. Berries are the best and are the lowest on the gycemic scale. The body reads fruit as sugar and will stop or slow your weight loss.
Avoid all processed simple carbs like bread, crackers, pasta, sugar, etc. Also stay away from starchy veggies and grains like rice, oatmeal, potatoes, etc. These things will make you crave more carbs. It will be hard for a few weeks, but your cravings will eventually fade.
Drink your fluids. You need at least 64 ounces daily. That is the minimum. Many of us drink a lot more to function. I drink approx. 120 ounces. Don't drink with you meals. Drinkin with meals allows us to be able to eat more volume and is the main culprit (in addition to eating simple carbs) in regain.
Don't go back to protein shakes. They will not keep you satisfied and you will find yourself consuming more calories because you will feel hungry. Shakes go right through you. Meat stays with you for hours. We used protein shakes early out because we could not physically eat enough protein to keep us healthy. There is nothing magic about protein shakes in regards to weight loss. They will not help you lose weight. Many WLS peeps will add shakes to gain weight when they go too low.
You can do this!!!!
