Today's low point

I'm 10 days in on my post op 21 days of protein shakes and clear liquids. While scooping my dog's chicken flavored kibble into his bowl this evening, the following thought passed through my mind: "Mmm, that smells good..."

Low point!

Yeah... I can't disagree. Didn't get any Unjury Chicken Soup?

You'd think someone who thinks dog food can smell good wouldn't be in any position to be choosy, but the max temperature you can make the Unjury is too cold to make it tasty to me. But I just went and picked up two large Pho broths - $4 for 48 ounces of beefy goodness! So excited!

HA!! Don't sweat it... I actually savored pea soup last night. I move to pureed on 3/14 and have been drinking chocolate shakes since 2/14...

I had the same thought the other day with my cat's wet food!! I was like, "I can't tell many people about this thought."

Thank you for letting me know I'm not alone! Pre-surgery I would have thought it smells like kind of bad. But now I'm desperate.

I know ya'll are pretty sick of shakes & all. Are you in serious ketosis? I have been for a while and I am seriously tired of feeling like I'm sucking on a penny all the time.

I don't think I am, but I live by myself and there's no one to tell me my breath is weird! But no penny taste...

We all have one of those days!

When I was on my puree food stage my family was eating my favorite hotdish. I wanted some so bad that I took a scoop of it and tossed it in the blender.....horrible idea.

After so many shakes and clear liquids - it would smell good lol!

I'm thinking you can't have a lower point than that but I'm sure someone else has!
