Calorie intake 2 months post op
Those who are 2 months out what is your calorie and protein intake daily? I'm 2 months post op today, 30lbs down, and I get 800-900 calories daily and 80grams of protein. I can eat pretty regularly with no issues but I feel like I'm constantly starving. Last week I was dropping weight daily and now a week after I've lost nothing. I've actually gained 2lbs and have no idea how that happened. I see my nutritionist on the 15th but I'm just curious as to where you are at 2 months out.

1 am 10 wks out. At my 2 month check up I was told to stay around 600 calories And as few carbs as possible. 60g of protein for females. No artificial sweeteners because it increases appetite. Stalls are totally normal but you shouldn't be gaining weight even on 800 cals. Have your nutritionist look at your log. If you've added in low fat foods like rice or oatmeal, or are using protein bars, chances are your carbs are too high. Don't give up. It's so frustrating to stall.
It's so strange the difference in plans person to person. My nutritionist has me at 800-900 calories and 80 grams of protein and it's been this way for a few weeks. I hardly eat a lot of fat and my carbs are always low even though they don't seem to focus much of that. I don't drink enough water which I'm trying to get better at and my working out is sporatic. Pretty sure those are the issues holding me back and I just need to work on them more.
I'm 4 months out, but my guidelines said 600-800 calories during weight loss, and then increase to 1000-1200 in maintenance. From what the vets here have said, there's a good chance you aren't feeling real hunger, just gas or a lot of stomach acid. Perhaps you're feeling head hunger? I really had a gassy, gurgly stomach for the first couple of months or so. For me it was protein shakes that caused it (still do when I drink them). Apparently whey protein cause excess gas in my stomach and it gurgles and growls like hunger pangs...only it isn't. I also only aim for 60g of protein, some days I get more but that's goal I was given.
Also, I hit a stall at a month out that lasted nearly 5 weeks. So just hang in there. When mine stopped I started dropping fast again.
As for gain, are you eating more salt than usual, or near that time of the month? I retain water terribly about a week before and sometimes go up a pound or two. Not drinking enough can cause it as well, I think.
Im a bit further out than you are, and Im only consistently getting 700 calories a day. As far as hunger I feel you. I'm pretty hungry all day long, but I think it's because I'm only getting around 60g protein a day.
Also, don't stress about going up a little. You're likely hitting a plateau and while they are extremely frustrating they will pass. If it doesn't and you're consistently seeing gains then I suggest you step up your exercise and cut back on some calories.
7 weeks out and I'm averaging 500-650 calories per day. My dietician said this was fine and that I should slowly work my way up to 1200 around the 1 year mark. I am 50% through my weight loss so they figured I'd be in maintenance by then.

When I was 2 months out I was getting about 800 calories per day with 80+ grams of protein. So almost exactly where you are. I was also exercising 60 mins a day. Are you getting in exercise and lots of water?
My husband is currently about 2.5 months out. He isn't tracking, so I'm not sure what exactly he is getting, but I would say on average probably about 1000 calories / day. He has struggled with feeling hungry a lot too. He can really eat whatever and the restriction hits him oddly -- sometimes its super strong and sometimes not. (prob based on what he is eating). I encourage him to eat veggies when he is feeling hungry and make sure he is getting enough water and protein.
About a 2 lb gain -- that is probably not real. Our bodies fluctuate all the time. If you had a lot of sodium, you will retain more water - and that will drastically affect your weight. If you let the little swings affect you you will go crazy.
Like I lost 2 lbs yesterday despite eating cake and thai food -- I could say oh cake and thai food make me lose weight. But no, its just my body let go of some crap yesterday. I can't eat that **** or I will start to swing up.
Oh! Now that I've rested a bit, I remembered that I always keep a jar or two of Gherkins in the fridge just for when I am feeling hungry but don't want a lot of calories. The pickles tend to fill me up, taste great, and contain something like 4 calories per pickle.
I'd find a veggie you can tolerate and love, and keep it on hand to help quell the hunger.
