Question, How long after the VSG was it before you could drive?

I didn't take any pain mess but the hospital wouldn't let me drive home. I drove day 3 after surgery with no problem. Being tired after surgery is a big issue so you may not have the same energy you're used to. It's still major surgery. Good luck and let us know how you do.
My surgery was on a Friday, I was home by Sunday, and driving by about Tuesday or Wednesday - just small trips around town to get kids from school to activities and such. Hopefully you won't really need the pain meds at home - or maybe just a half dose at night before bed. You just don't want to drive under the influence of a narcotic pain med, especially with kiddos in the car. :)

I am an extremely proud Momma & Blessed Wife from South Louisiana.
I drove five days after surgery, however I took zero pain killers at home and live by myself.
I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!
