Mind Boggling NSVs
A couple of recent NSVs that still have me shaking my head in wonder and disbelief:
1) Last week I tried on my baby sister's hand-me-down stretch denim jeggings, size 18/20, and they fit!! Still wrapping my head around that...at my biggest 2 years ago I was struggling into size 32 stretch pants.
2) As of today I officially weigh 2 pounds less than my smallest sister. I've always been the biggest, so this one is so surreal. Thankfully I have very loving and supportive sisters, and she is not jealous, just thrilled for my progress.
I find myself realizing that very soon, I will no longer have to shop for plus size clothes--something I haven't been able to do in nearly 40 years. Thank God for this surgery, and my steadily improving quality of life!!!
AWESOME!!!!! I think trying on clothes, when you look at them and mentally say "no way are these going to fit, but I'll try them anyway", and they FIT is one of the greatest feelings ever. Anyone who has not been overweight would probably not understand. But it is a really big deal!!
Keep up the great work, Cathy!

OMG, P, that was it exactly! When she first gave them to me, they were way too small. It was just like you said last week--I figured they were still too small, but I'd try them anyway. I couldn't believe when I got them on lol And then I looked at the size and sat there stunned for a bit.
Thank you for always being so uplifting and encouraging, it really means a lot!!
P.S. I just noticed we're both at the same amount of weight lost...yay us!! :)
Awwww, thank you! This journey has been amazing so far. Feeling healthier, no more knee pain, and just feeling better about myself have made it well worth it. The smaller clothes are the cherry on top!! It is so great to be able to shop "regular" clothing sizes and find cute things. I've been purchasing a few things from PoshMark online, so I'm not spending tons on new things this early on. It's an awesome site where you can look for certain items by size or brand or just browse. I've had great luck so far and would recommend highly.
I meant to mention in my first post that I noticed your new photo!!! WOW!!! The change from your first one is amazing!!
Have a great day!!

I've looked at Poshmark but haven't tried it yet. I have been getting stuff on Swap.com, an online thrift store. It's great, and I've found stuff super cheap. Between that , my sister's hand-me-downs, and buying on clearance at other places, I've kept the amount spent on smaller clothes purchases very low. Now it's time to buy another bra 2 sizes smaller (I bought extenders so I don't have to buy a new one every size). Every new size just leaves me in awestruck wonder lol
And thank you about the new photo...I'm starting to see my old self again!
Hi there:
I just went on Posh Mark and found some great items. I tried to bid (put my address and cc info) and I tried to buy an item and once I hit next on cc info it says "problem with processing please try again". I've tried 3 times and nothing. Not going through. Am I doing something wrong? I can't even email them as I put their email address in and it comes up invalid.
Any advice is appreciated.

Not sure why your attempted purchases are not going through. The best solution is to email them. Their email address is [email protected]. This email address has worked for me.
Good luck!

That is awesome! I love reaching those milestones that I honestly never thought possible. Before I really knew surgery was an option, I was a size 26/28 and cleaned out my closet and got rid of all my "thin clothes" (sizes 18 & 16) because I never thought they would fit again. Well, I just bought a pair of size 10 jeans this weekend!! It boggles the mind how much we can accomplish with our tool!
Celebrate and go buy something fun to wear for yourself!! Have a great day!
