What is your favorite cold medicine that is safe?
I've done some searching but I can't seem to find what everybody's favorite cold medicines are. I've been nursing cold for a couple of days and it is getting worse. I would prefer something that is liquid. What do you guys use that works for you and I can check it out and drugstore?
I wouldn't use any liquid since they've pretty much all got alcohols and sugars. Dayquil/Nyquil are my go tos.

Great point that I hadn't thought about!
I haven't been able to take any actual cold medicine for years as the last time I took it it triggered a life threatening asthma attack. For years I just took Advil when I had a cold and it always helped a lot. obviously since surgery I can't take Advil anymore but just got a cold and took my liquid acetaminophen, cvs brand (Tylenol) and it did the trick. Sometimes a simple medicine can do as much as one of those multi symptom things. Hope you feel better soon.
Generic sudafed plus generic Mucinex. Cheap, works better than any of the NyQuil crap, and it helps quickly. Aleve cold and sinus works REALLY well, but it has NSAIDs, sadly. If you can do those, they help a lot with symptoms. I skip them post-op and just use cold compresses instead.
I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!
