Fitness journey & fun pic!
So I chatter on about crossfit a lot. I was a college athlete and still play hockey, but I have become obsessed with crossfit over the last year. I think it is because I continue to be able to do things that I could not do before. I still love hockey, but realistically I will never play as competitively as I did in college.
In crossfit, I am becoming more and more competitive. It is feasible that I could compete at some point (well for sure feasible, but I mean at a reasonable competitive level).
Just this past month - I have nailed 3 new skills and hit several PRs: rope climbs, toes to bar, double unders. I feel stronger than I have ever in my life.
And after smashing my shin jumping onto a box this summer, I lost box jumps. But here I am overcoming it and jumping! So much fun!
This is my butt at 198 lbs. I'm wicked happy with it. I'm still losing, but think 198 is not terrible for me. :)
You look great, girl! I tried crossfit once and almost threw up in the parking lot. LOL That was 50 pounds ago so who knows what I would do now but it seems very intense. Crazy awesome about the box jumps. I am pretty sure I would have no teeth left if I tried that because i would smash my face. I feel like finding an exercise you enjoy is super important to keeping the weight off. Glad you are loving the crossfit!

Haha - that is 100% me. I have been freaking out trying to get them. My strategy to get them back was to jump on weight plates and slowly build them up.
My coach was videoing one of his workouts the other week and I'm in the background false starting on my box jump attempts. Its a pain, but once you get them they are fun!
I was crazy shocked when it happened. I've just got this attitude lately that even if I think / know that I can't do something I still attempt it every couple of months. Once I got up the rope a little bit I kind of freaked out and was like how do I get down?!?! I only got up abotu 6 feet because I'm scared of hieghts. But I'll get over it. :)
