Hello! Another BP convert
Hi, all! After some crazy things happened on the BariatricPal site over the weekend, I decided to see if I could find another forum to connect with my fellow sleevers. I had my surgery in June of 2015. I started out at 259.5 pounds, was 242 on the day of surgery, and got down to 161 in July of 2016. Then the scale stopped moving. I have gained a couple of pounds back over the holidays and am really looking to get a fresh start in the new year, on a new forum. My ultimate goal is to get down to 150, and I'm going to make that happen in 2017!
P.S. I was WingFan55 "over there," not because of my love of chicken wings but for my Detroit Red Wings! Decided I needed a new name to go with all the other changes I'm trying to make!
another refugee! and my love of hockey was started when I became friends with a group of Red Wings fans. While now a flyers fan, I do still have a soft spot for the redwings - and the tossing of the octopus on the ice (that seriously used to crack me up!)
Welcome aboard!

Hi, shermak1.
Welcome and congrats on your progress thus far.
I was also at BP a long time, but finally stopped posting there about 6 months ago. Just got too whiney and weird for me. Looks like it's gotten untenable.
In comparison, this site feels like "WLS for Grown-Ups."
Here's to your hitting all your goals and having more NSVs than you can count. :)

Hi! Our timing on everything is similar. VSG was 5/18/15. Stall/climb started July 2016. HW: 329, Surgery weight: 281. Low weight: 195. Goal weight: 175.
In all honesty, my eating hasn't been great but it all started last May with a surgery and a summer and fall filled with injuries. I'm starting on the New Year with the flu and a better attitude.
I'm so excited to see all the old and new friends!!
ISO ... New "clique" members. You must be kind, warm, welcoming, honest, intelligent, and have a sense of humor. The words "shamed" or "victim" can not be in your regular vocabulary. Sarcasm is welcome (and wanted!), but cruelty is not. You must not be a coddler or a shamer. All members are free to classify themselves as vets, newbies, grasshoppers or anything else they desire.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, puppies, sunsets and taking off my bra as I pull in the driveway. If you are like minded, you are in!
And remember, we are ALL worthy of love, humor, and dignity.
I started a new group here for my old BP friends and any new friends who have a sense of humor. Link to join:
