If you're so inclined, Dr Matthew Weiner in Youtube has a great bunch of videos, and 'stretching' is in his video titled "Top 10 Myths about WLS" (or something to that effect). He has a very interesting take on the whole stretching thing.

I just love him! My favorite Bariatric surgeon!

I just love his stuff too! So informative. I haven't worked through all of them yet but I'm at it. Glad to see he has something to say about stretching as well. I'll definitely check that out.

Barb sleeved - Your doctor is smart and awesome! (And cute, just sayin!) Makes me wonder if my revision was necessary! Too late now, and I trust my doctor as well. I guess you'll never get the same diagnosis from two doctors, but it sure is interesting to hear what they all have to say. I must say my acid reflux and gas issues are gone after my revision surgery, but I am still on the full liquid diet. Thanks for sharing. :)

He definitely is and I don't know whether I could tolerate the thought of lying naked and unconscious in front of a man that attractive. Goodness knows what we do when we're out. I'm thinking I probably belch and toot with vigor. The belch part I know for sure, unfortunately. I had an endoscopy and when they were waking me and pulling the tubage out, I let out this enormous HURRRURRRP! and burped all over the nurse. I wasn't fully up yet but I heard her say "WHEW!!" and step back a few paces.

This is my doctor's book:

I have to be honest, I have not read it! LOL :)

Thanks for the info Grim Traveler, I have my follow up appt tomorrow and am going to ask about the patch! Sounds easy and I must admit, I hate the taste of all the chewable vitamins!

A lot of doctors are telling patients not to use the patches, because they are fairly new, and they don't know much about them. I was skeptical for the same reasons. The first 3 years after surgery, I took regular vits and watched others use the patch. All had great labs.

I've been using them for the last year and a half, and my labs are better now than ever. My calcium especially is much improved. I was up to 2,500 of calcium citrate per day, and still having bone loss. The patches turned that around.

I use a multi patch every day. I use a D3/calcium patch and an Iron patch. I alternate days with those two.
