I have tried 4 times to have WLS. The 3 times before my current attempt were about 4-6 years ago. The reason I never went through with it back then was because my life was kind of a mess, I worked at a job I despised, I was broke, I was miserable and depressed, and I was still struggling through college. I started the WLS journey again in July of 2016 and my nutritionist approved me to have the surgery on Monday. I am in a much better place in my life this time around too, I have a job I love (that also helped me lose considerable amount of weight because I'm moving all day), I have a college degree finally, I'm no longer depressed and I am actually happy nearly every day. I'm excited about getting the surgery finally! I was told I could have it done as soon as February too. I am just waiting on the insurance approval, then getting my surgery date.  On Monday I also hit an 80lb weight loss from the highest I have ever been (which was 396 in 2014).

Highest Weight ~400, Surgery Weight 293, Current Weight 227, Goal Weight 180

Highest BMI: 59.1, Current BMI: 32, Goal BMI: 25
